Isn't she sweet??

This precious little girl came into the nursery as a Anna Carter sculpt. Made of Gentle Touch Vinyl the mold to start out with is very realistic and putting her through the reborn process enhances that realism even more.  With delicate handling and extra special care this little baby has been transformed into a treasured little OOAK "Cream Puff Babies Nursery" baby girl.

It's very difficult to describe each step that goes into creating a "Cream Puff Baby" as in real life each baby’s skin tone is unique and different, several different techniques are used on each baby to achieve the desired skin complexion for that individual baby.  The vinyl is colored on outside to give little Andrea the most realistic newborn "blotchy" tone complexion. This natural shade of coloring was created with Genesis heat set paints, stencil paints, & etc. that I’ve applied over multiple steps to achieve the true to life look.  Each baby is carefully hand painted until I have achieved the desired results for that individual baby.

                        I have micro-rooted little blonde mohair eyelashes to accentuate her new life like look. Her lips were color blended to a more natural tone and sealed so her mouth looks moist and wet.   Additionally, her little nose was carefully opened. Notice the newborn like shades of blues and greens on her face to really bring out her realistic look.

Andrea's original  muslin cloth body  has been replaced with a Berenguer muslin body, re-stuffed and weighted to give her a realistic feel.  The flexible body has been delicately weighted and stuffed with a combination of fluffy soft PolyFil and plastic pellets. This feature provides that realistic baby feel that’s just right for holding.

Andrea’s little head, 3/4 hands/arms & 3/4 legs/feet have also been weighted and gently stuffed with the same combination as her body.  Her little head needs supporting just like a real baby’s head when you hold her. Andrea can be posed and displayed in a variety of positions.

Andrea has hand painted finger and toenails that have been sealed with a satin sealer to highlight the details of her tiny hands and feet.

Andrea has micro-rooted baby soft, blonde mohair.  Each little strand was rooted in the direction that her hair would naturally grow.  Her hair was then trimmed and shaped to appear as realistic as a newborn baby’s hair does.

She has subtle veining throughout her hands/arms, legs/feet, forehead, & even on her little eyelids.

Andrea is no longer considered a play doll, but a ”One of a Kind" collectible doll to be handed down from generation to generation. I have signed and dated her with her birth date on the back of her neck.

Andrea will leave "Cream Puff Babies Nursery" with all brand new items:

-a diaper

-a magnet paci

-a little pink plush "piggie"

-a pink & white hat

-a pair of 0-3 month "Carter" pink pants

-a white fleece receiving blanket

-a 2 piece newborn outfit set which includes a long sleeve pink onesie style shirt

that is light pink with darker pink hearts all over and a pink bunting with a

cute bunny at the bottom

-a  hospital bracelet with her name and birthdate

-a "Cream Puff Babies" birth certificate
