  So precious and just peaking his first look around!!

This precious little boy came into the nursery as a Linda Spahic sculpt.  Made of Gentle Touch Vinyl the mold to start out with is very realistic and putting him through the reborn process enhances that realism even more.  With delicate handling and extra special care this little baby has been transformed into a treasured little OOAK "Cream Puff Babies Nursery" baby boy.

It's very difficult to describe each step that goes into creating a "Cream Puff Baby" as in real life each baby’s skin tone is unique and different, several different techniques are used on each baby to achieve the desired skin complexion for that individual baby.  The vinyl is colored on outside to give little James the most realistic newborn "blotchy" tone complexion. This natural shade of coloring was created with Genesis heat set paints, stencil paints, & etc. that I’ve applied over multiple steps to achieve the true to life look.  Each baby is carefully hand painted until I have achieved the desired results for that individual baby.

I have micro-rooted little blonde "barely there" mohair eyelashes to accentuate his new life like look. His lips were color blended to a more natural tone and sealed so his mouth looks moist and wet.  I also applied tiny "barely there" little brush stroke eyebrows. Additionally, his little nose was carefully opened.

I have replaced James's full vinyl body with a new muslin cloth body that has been stuffed and weighted to give him a realistic feel. This body has been delicately weighted and stuffed with a combination of fluffy soft PolyFil and plastic pellets.

James now has full vinyl Euro Berenguer arms & legs. He can be posed in many positions and now wear a variety of cute little outfits.  James has been given hand painted finger & toenails that have been sealed with a satin sealer to highlight the details of his tiny hands & feet.

James has micro-rooted baby soft, blonde mohair.  Each little strand was rooted in the direction that her hair would naturally grow. I then sealed it on the inside so it can be gently combed and styled. His hair was then trimmed and shaped to appear as realistic as a newborn baby’s hair does.

He has subtle veining throughout his hands/arms, legs/feet, forehead, & even on his little eyelids.

He has what I call a half tummy anatomically correct plate because the original Linda sculpt Thomas full vinyl body has fused arms so I made the tummy plate from underneath where the arms were fused and also made him a magnet umbilical cord with clamp

James is no longer considered a play doll, but a ”One of a Kind" collectible doll to be handed down from generation to generation. I have signed and dated him with his birth date on the back of his neck.

James will leave "Cream Puff Babies Nursery" with all brand new items:

-a preemie diaper

-a preemie Gerber onesie

-a magnet pacifier

-a plush Ty doggie

-a preemie size Gerber 3 piece layette consisting of a white sleeper, blue hat, and bunting 

-a  hospital bracelet with his name and birthdate

-a half (I say half because the original Thomas full vinyl body has fused arms so I made the tummy plate from underneath where the arms were fused) anatomically correct tummy plate with magnet umbilical cord & clamp

-a "Cream Puff Babies" birth certificate
