"I have been staring at the Baby Blake Micro-Preemie all morning. I must tell you that I have been captivated with a fascination to stare at this tiny reborn. I have been thrilled when I compare the details to the photos I sent you of our Blake when he was such a tiny, tiny miracle. I have come to realize some of the therapeutic effects of this process. As I peered into each beautiful photograph (by the way your excellent photography displays your work very well), I discovered that I could adore this precious baby boy without the fear and anxiety that filled my heart when I leaned over our Blake those first days and whispered an unending prayer to God to protect our Blake. So in a way, your work offers a kind of healing, that the terrible trauma is over and I can just look at your reborn work of art and adore it and smile at the same time knowing that such a tiny, tiny creature can be strong enough of spirit to survive and grow."

"Where do I begin? With the anticipation that reborn Blake would surely arrive today, I asked a good friend to lunch with me. I told her that I needed her support when I opened a package. She was puzzled but quickly complied with my request.

She has known the whole story of Blake. Although she had only seen pictures of my grandson when he was so intricately, delicately tiny, tiny, tiny. I explained the treasure to be found wrapped securely inside my Priority Mail. But as the layers of protective peanuts and cushioning were peeled back revealing the image of a miracle, we both could not contain ourselves. She in total disbelief with both Blake's tiny size and the exquisite artwork unfolding before us. I was anticipating a flood of buried emotion which did indeed spin around within me for a moment. But as the tears started dripping off my cheeks, I realized that this delicate babe could be held, cuddled, kissed and embraced. What JOY! I remember Kimberly wishing that she could just "hold my baby for a minute" and waiting two months for a five minute hug and kiss.

Also, quickly came the vision in my mind of my grandson being photographed with his birth replica soon. Such tremendous progress and awesome proof that Blake and his protective nurturing parents are triumphant through these struggles. My visions of Blake's life unfolding before my very eyes. My friend and I sat for many minutes gazing over this treasure. As she left today, she said "Thanks, I am really glad that I got to help reveal reborn Blake and adore him.

So needless to say, your work is very precious indeed. If you don't mind me asking, how did you get started creating these precious moments? Your compassion is VERY CLEAR to me as I enjoy this precious gift. I now anxiously wait for my trip to Austin to take this gift to Blake's nursery. I shall be sure and send a photo of this grand reunion!
