This precious little girl came into the nursery as realborn “Leilani.” The kit to start out with was a blank neutral pale skin tone vinyl and was put through our reborn process to enhance her realism and lifelike, newborn look.

Our nursery is a smoke free environment and with delicate handling and extra special care, this baby has been transformed into a treasured little OOAK "Cream Puff Babies Nursery" baby girl.

As in real life, each baby's skin tone is unique. Multiple artistic techniques were used to achieve the desired African American skin complexion for Leilani. The vinyl was colored on the outside to give the most realistic premature "blotchy" skin tones. This natural shade of coloring was created by using various shades of Genesis heat set paints, which I've applied over multiple layers to achieve the depth of detail and true to life look I envisioned. I handled her delicately, and spent extra time and care creating, enhancing, and developing her realistic features.
